AMA Arenacross Series Continues this Weekend in Council Bluffs

(March 9, 2010) – Another pair of races down and another victory each for Babbitt’s Monster Energy/Ti Lube Kawasaki riders Tyler Bowers and Josh Demuth, the AMA Arenacross Series most victorious riders in 2010. The series’ last round from Reno produced a pair of dominating performances from each rider, with Demuth taking the win on night one and Bowers on night two. Monster Energy Kawasaki Dominates Daytona Supercross

Monster Energy Kawasaki’s Ryan Villopoto jumped out to an early lead and dominated the supercross class main event at Daytona International Speedway just minutes after Monster Energy/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki’s Christophe Pourcel won his third straight supercross lites main event. Pourcel’s teammate Dean Wilson scored his first podium finish coming home third. Nick Wey earned his best finish of the season finishing seventh and Chad Reed posted the fastest lap in practice, but did not race as he continues to recover from a broken hand.

Strang Wins Maxxis General GNCC

Washington, Georgia (March 7th, 2010) – For the second race in a row, Josh Strang put his FMF Makita Suzuki on the top step of the podium, declaring himself the man to beat in this year’s Can-Am Grand National Cross Country Series. The 21-year-old Australian’s latest win came at the Maxxis General GNCC, round two of the 13-round series in Washington, Georgia, and gives him a 14-point lead in the series standings.

“I’ve worked hard for this and it feels good,” said Strang. “And to get two wins is great. I got a good start, perhaps the best start I’ve ever got on the 450, and I rode well. Wide Open Field of XC1 Bike Competitors Heads to Maxxis General GNCC

Washington, GA (March 4, 2010) - The opening round of the 2010 Can-Am Grand National Cross Country Series yielded huge surprises, as Defending GNCC Champion Paul Whibley ran out of gas on the final lap of the tough Florida course, and a new contender stepped up to the plate, last year’s Top Amateur Chris Bach, who skipped the XC2 Pro Lites class and went straight to running with the top XC1 riders to finish second at the opener behind FMF Makita Suzuki’s Josh Strang. In the XC2 class, Jason Thomas ran strong up front, while a surprising run from privateer Jesse Robinson led him to second place ahead of Defending XC2 Champion Kailub Russell.
